Montpelier Middle School
Montpelier, Vermont
Master plan and construction details for the renovation of the school grounds prominently located on Main Street in downtown. New features include: parking, entry plaza with granite benches and plants, student cultivated gardens, and a playground which supports activities including basketball, soccer, group and intimate socializing.

Collaboration with Gossens Bachman Architects.

The Putney School Field House
Putney, Vermont
Site design and construction details for a new outdoor courtyard and entry plaza built in association with the new net-zero Field House and the existing Student Union Building in the heart of the campus. The courtyard serves as a significant central congregating space for students and features stone seat walls, colorful permeable paver surfaces and planters. Phase 2 will consist of the study of existing conditions, including patterns of circulation and the function of landscape spaces on the entire campus. Then begin the master planning process by recommending general enhancements.

Stowe Middle and High School
Stowe, Vermont
Master plan and site design for an enhanced approach to
the school. Created more functional car, bus and pedestrian
circulation, welcoming entries, an inspirational courtyard for
congregating, and a cohesive web of sidewalks, trees and
lighting.

Collaboration with Black River Design Architects.

Vermont Law School
South Royalton, Vermont
Developed concepts for creating a clear and inviting gateway
to campus that also expresses the school’s environmental
commitment. Ideas included more visible signage from the street, large entry plaza with benches and decorative pavers, defined pedestrian ways and colorful native plant rain gardens to absorb storm water run-off.

Arlington Memorial High School
Arlington, Vermont
Design for a circular outdoor classroom for music performances,receptions and student socializing. Local
stone and native plants.

Collaboration with Black River Design.

Washington County Family Center
Berlin, Vermont
Site design for new Family Center. Collaborated with Black River Design Architects on locating new buildings, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, parking, playground and landscaping.
